Thanks to kind donors, UWEC obtained some
sewing machines, a laptop, and a digital camera in 2007 as their
first tools towards empowerment.
They currently use a room in a Catholic church, and they hope to
have a UWEC home soon! |
| UWEC members were
happy to receive their first paper cutters, donated by a PEACE friend
from Michigan. No more standing in lines and paying fees just
to get paper cut to make those beautiful paper bead jewelry! |

A new tent! |
"...had the best moments during the year end events.
Most colorful of these was the U. W. E. C. party where apart from the inexhaustible fun,
I met almost all the members of this fraternity. It were warm and joyful moments suffice
it to mention also precious.
I was also humbled by the spirit of love and unity that I had never met hitherto.
